Got past the Ngumban Cliffs that we camped at all alone in 2002. The English man i was riding with on that section set off at night to beat the heat but got serious fright when snake got caught in his front wheel as he was freewheeling down the gap in the cliffs! When in 2002 we four cyclists were the only people for miles, this night there were around a dozen caravans at the Cliffs lookout.
