Day 28 TT 60.8km but this includes about 1.5km total going into and out of Rabbit Flat Road House (CLOSED since 2011) . Don went past me while I was at RF, he spent rest of 35km trying to catch me while not realising I was behind him. Both of us were thinking “please stop for the night, I am exhausted”.
Road to Rabbit Flat excellent hard clear dirt, from RF 35km of mild corrugations but loose pea gravel that took a lot of continuous effort to ride through.
About one car every half hour, many stopped to check on us, Don met three girls travelling in a ute and camping who had seen us leave Yulara a month ago!
Again camping in a table drain, good little fire with eucalypt wood.
