Wow, a lovely Farewell dinner at Del Amici in Perth with 35 friends. Great send off. I couldn’t back out then.

Overnight to Hong Kong via Cathay Pacific. During the flight Spain and France went into coronavirus lockdown and POTUS Trump locked travellers from Eire and the UK out of the USA. Getting serious.

I spent a couple of hours researching flights and costs to return to Australia and avoid the growing Armageddon. Then ScoMo came on the news requiring 15 days quarantine for ANY traveller entering Australia. So sod him, I’ll go to Canada and see what develops.

Hong Kong airport is very quiet. All airport staff and retail assistants are wearing masks. Announcements say it is good manners for travellers to do likewise.
