DAY 62 18 AUGUST WANGI FALLS

The ride back through the middle of Litchfield NP to the Litchfield-Daley River turnoff was a lot easier the second time around. While chewing on a 600 ml frozen chocolate milk for lunch a NP ranger pulled up to check on me. I asked him to report in to Helga and Darius that I had followed their instructions and got carried across the Reynolds River. Nice chap.

At Wangi Falls the contrast between the lush forest in the sheltered valley and the arid rocky toplands is strikingI got to the Wangi Falls campground about 1 pm and pulled into the tenting area with the other motorbikers. A quick swim in the Wangi Falls (lovely falls but too crowded with day trippers from Darwin).

Wangi Falls in Litchfield NP, lovely spot, tropical rainforest at the bottom, perish from heat and drought at the top

Not much else for the day.
