  • At last. Off on the adventure.
Spent the morning getting Hema maps of The Great Central Road, The Fincke and Oodnadatta and The Strezelecke Tracks. After Google maps sent me to two 4WD shops serving bullbars but not maps got them at Opposite Lock on Welshpool Road In Carlisle. Then to Anna’s Central Cafe in East Victoria.Park for a final coffee and scone.
Geetaa, Stu, Raymond and Anna at The Central Cafe. DThanks for the scones and your lovingconcern. Don't worry.i will be back

Then train to Fremantle and 5 km on the bike path to Coogee. A final coffee and apple pie with ice cream (because bike riding is all about the bikes, the coffee and the cakes) and off down the road at 2pm.

Te rest is history.

15km on major roads to the Kwinana Freeway bike path, 40 km south on separated bitumen goodness to Lakes Road, 17 km on small farms to North Dandalup and then up the Darling Scarp on Del Park Road. Finish with 23 km of winding rolling hills in the dark, with low blood sugar and intermittent blindness as cars hit you with spotlights to figure out what you are.

In Dwellingup, a Guinness at the pub and scout around to find a place to camp. Ended up on the platform of the Etmilyn Tourist Railway as everything else was closed by 9pm.

And goodnight to all.
