Day 88 8 July Milla Milla

A day off in lovely Milla Milla.

Bacon and eggs at one cafe, a walk up the street to the museum and coffee and scones at another.

Some of the locals gave some background on why the old Milla Milla rail line was not made into a rail trail to Malanda. It seems that one or two of the dairy farmers adjoining the rail line really did not want their privacy interrupted. To the point of blocking inspection parties with a tractor, and reportedly, a shotgun. No scores to the local shire council for caving in to the anti-rail-trail’ers and then complaining about lack of economic development in the town. Really?

Milla Milla falls

More coffee and cake at the Summit Cafe on the way back from the falls.
