Day 03. 14 April 2016 Boddington to Cuballing, about 100 km

I don’t have a speedo/bike computer whatever you call it. I don’t like the way the speed shown seldom seems high enough ( I tour at 17 km/hr down to 13 km/hr if there is a wind or a slight rise in the road) or the distance covered great enough.

So, anyway, 11 km from Boddington to the Albany Highway and the no-longer-existing roadhouse at Crossman. Across the highway almost to Wandering which is famous for often being the coldest place in WA, then on to Pingelly on the Great Southern Highway.

Pingelly is a town of lovely old buildings but is shrinking as Narrogin and Brookton either side of it grow and take away its business. The town has a little caravan park which is apparently free but without any indication of how to get a key to the amenities block.

Not staying in Pingelly without a dunny key so on to Cuballing. Only 37 km but into a mild headwind and cooling temperatures and dropping enthusiasm. Only option in Cuballing is the pub. Friendly and basic with a mega-calorie laden pub pizza the dinner of choice.

I didn’t win the bar raffle so off to bed.
