Day 18 3 August Burrup rock art to dampier Red dog

A short morning of touristing in Karratha before riding out to the Burrup Peninsula to see the rock art. This was worthwhile although some scrambling over the boulders was needed to see much of it.

Then a quick run out to the lookout over the Burrup natural gas liquefaction plant before a side trip to Dampier townsite to see the Red Dog memorial and a look around.

Then back to Karratha just on sunset. I didn’t have effective rear lights so Bruce rode tail end to save me from the traffic in the dark.
