DAY 4 20 JULY 2018 PARABURDOO to Tom Price

Bruce puts on sunscreen outside Paraburdoo

Paraburdoo has a good supermarket so we loaded up with several 600 ml cartons of chocolate milk each and a few sundries to nibble on the way before heading off to Tom Price, the original iron ore town.

This was a hard day for me. As usual we set a quick pace for the first 10 kms or so before reality set in, compounded by 20 kms of almost continuous climbing to the divide between Paraburdoo and Tom Price. I was fully wrecked by the time Bruce called lunch at the highest point of the day and offered a handful of almonds to power me up again. After that it was mostly downhill to the Tom Price/Newman turnoff and then slightly uphill to Tom Price itself.
