LEJOG Day 41 Home to Perth (Australia)

Some frantic efforts trying to get from our flat in Tower Hamlets to Liverpool Street Station for the train to Stanstead. John and Christine walked her boxed bike to the station, but I caught a black cab which took about 20 mins to go a mile, same as walking.

Painless trip out to the airport, but painfully busy in the departure lounge as now peak holiday season. Half of Britain is heading to Spain, the other half coming back.

Got to Dubai to change planes at 2am, a coffee, a lost boarding pass and on to Perth.

Cabin lights came on an hour out from Perth, a light plane breakfast and we were on the ground.

Immigration painless by facial recognition, a horribly expensive taxi ride and I was home.

That’s all folks! C U L8R Alligator.
