LEJOG “Land’s End to John O’Groats”

StragglingStu’s idea of how LEJOG might go. Other riders have different ideas

Roughly 2000 kms to be enjoyed by the pedal stroke. We could shorten it by going up the centre of the UK but we are all attracted to the idea of the Western Highlands of Scotland.

Five intrepid travellers are setting forth in mid-May for the adventure. It was going to be seven but one (Randell, we are looking at you) pulled out due to moving house, riding the Mawson Trail in South Australia and another sadly due to a death in the family. Just as well as it turns out that five is about as many as we can squeeze into YHA hostel bunk rooms or fit into Ye Olde England Pubs without having to split the group.

Discussions on route, sites to visit, Whether to hyper organise or hypo organise and the gear for each have been going on since November. We’ll figure it out day before slinging g the leg over (the bike).

Next update after the final LEJOG team meeting at the CTAWA club ride leaders BBQ tomorrow.
